Filippo di Ser Brunellesco Lapi (1377-1446) – the first “modern” architect, is one of the geniuses of the Florentine Renaissance. The Cupola del Duomo (the Dome of the cathedral of Florence) is his most famous monument, but his works can be found throughout Florence .. Today with our art history teacher Silvia our students will defy the cold of this January for an interpretive walk in Florence, in search of the well – and less – known masterpieces of the great architect. Free of charge, of course, for the students at Scuola Toscana… it is one of the new activities offered by the school’ 2016 programme.
