Here I am back at the helm of this blog, after a couple of months care of our German trainee Ruth, who delighted (hopefully) our German-speaking public with posts about our activities.
This is the busiest season at Scuola Toscana, with groups from Switzerland, Austria and Sud Tirol coming and going, teacher’training courses, exam papers to prepare, and the usual core business of the “regular” customers.
Anyway, there is still time to have a nice walk in the city centre, especially in the morning, going to work, and to discover the unexpected, like a huge metal turtle in piazza della Signoria…
The turtle is a contemporary art work of Jan Fabre, who is exhibiting some of his sculptures in Florence; it is very important that Florence, the city of Renaissance, is more and more becoming able to have a conversation with artists and works of contemporary art.
