A school like ours does not exists suspended in a vacuum , but 
lives in a time, in a place, and is part of the society. We cannot ignore what's happening around. 
Our teachers are good teachers, not only for the work they do in 
the classroom, but also because they are able to build bridges thatconnect the school with the rest of society.
Friday our teacher Lorenzo Bastida delivered a "Lectura Dantis" at the "Murate Cafe" to support the work of the Lila (Lega per la 
Lotta all'AIDS), the Italian organisation to fight the HIV. 
It was a quiet, nice evening. Students, teachers (and directors) ofthe school participated.
A good way to learn the language, a good way to understand the 
culture, and to share values and emotions. 
We are proud of our teachers, and students, at Scuola Toscana.
